Ngay lập tức, lực lượng công an quận Tân Phú đã tiến hành phong toả hiện trường, tiến hành làm việc với ba đối tượng trong căn nhà trên, đồng thời phối hợp với đoàn cán bộ Sở Khoa học - Công nghệ TP HCM rà soát, xử lý thiết bị phóng xạ.
