I bought my first LS-CHL V2 a month ago and when I connected for the first time: RED LED Flash x 6 ...
After an exchange under warranty I had better luck with the next one and I was able to install 1.37 Mod1 (thank you Shonk) and SquezzeServer
Then I had the bad idea to try the new firmware 1.41
Unfortunately SquezzeServer is not incorporated in this version despite the claims of the Change log
Back to version 1.37 Mod1 from Shonk, and, and, RED LED Flash x 6
I tried several methods described in this forum :
1° TFTP Boot Recovery 1.24 or 1.06 with this result
Accepting Requests ..
Customer 192.168.11.150:1426 E: \ tftpboot \ $ kernel, no such file / No Access
Customer 192.168.11.150:1453 E: \ tftpboot \ $ initrd No Such File / No Access
2° Remove HDD and erase partitions
3° Ext3 format and direct copy of boot files
Nothing works
Does anyone has THE Solution?
I found the Trick :
PC : Disable DHCP and use fixed ip address 192.168.11.1
Use initrd.buffalo and uImage.buffalo from 1.37-mod1 and change their names to $initrd and $kernel then put them into the folder of TFTP 1.24_All_4_Models
TFTP until the fixed Blue Led
( If you don't have this fixed Blue Led you do not need to bother with the HDD, because it is used after the transfer TTCP ! )
Enable DHCP
Find Linkstation with Nasnavigator
Install Firmware version 1.40 First !
