Serious issues that need to be addressed:
• Screen flickering and going blank. Happens when connected via HDMI. I have also observed screen flicker via component out as well. You have to either restart Tvix to correct or press TV Out button.
• Photo Slideshow - Improve the quality of image loading and rendering. Address the issue of images not loading or appearing corrupted (digital noise). Slideshow works good on 6600, it should work good on 6500 as well.
• Better support for DVD ISO image files. 6500 can load the ISO but you cannot navigate the menu in the DVD structure.
• .TS playback with HE-AAC audio
• .MKV playback with AAC mono audio
• .MKV issue - files with multiaudio tracks, 6500 does not play AAC track. Dolby TrueHD does not play either.
• Scheduled Recording does not work properly, it turns on and hangs on the loading screen. If the Tvix is already switched on it works, but not if it is off.
• Another issue with scheduled recording - The list of scheduled recordings is not always remembered by the TViX and often gets lost with the next switch off/switch on of the device this seems more likely to happen if the TVIX is switched off directly from DTV mode. If you had added new recordings to a prior list that the TViX had already properly saved/remembered, then only the newly added recordings will be lost.
• Improve audio playback. Sometimes with MP3 files and playlists, Tvix cuts off before file is finished.
• Improve playback of BluRay ISO images. Remove the BDMV counter.
• HDMI connection to AV receiver - turn the TV off to listen to music only (FLAC). Attempt to stop playback causes the unit to lock up and reboot.
• Changing audio tracks on m2ts file not working. If you want to listen for example the second track, you will not hear any sound. If you want to go back to the first track, nothing. Analog outputs used.
• When using custom font for text subitles, still garbage at the bottom of the subitles area.
• DTS MA and Dolby TrueHD passthru from M2TS files. Dolby TrueHD stutters from M2TS files, there is a hickup every couple of seconds.
• There are XVID files that make the video disappear. The output "crashes". Then you have to reboot the Tvix.
• TViX does not anymore switch automatically to info mode when playing music.
Issues we would like to see addressed if possible:
• Boot Time – Any chance to improve this so it boots up quick like 6600?
• UI – I know when I spoke with XXXXX he mentioned to me the UI on 6500 would be updated and improved. Is this possible?
• Play Multichannel FLAC
• Displaying cover art for audio files embedded in the ID3 tag (preferred method) or if not possible displaying cover art for jpg files with the same names than the currently playing audio files
• Support for .txt subtitles without adding framerate in first line
• Allow resizing of lyrics via the remote up/down buttons (similarly to what is already implemented for videos subtitles)
• Resume playback function enabled (Like on 6600)
• Ability to manually assign channel numbers to DTV stations
• Disable wordwrap function if Thai encoded subtitle is selected
• While playing back music, allow more space for displaying track title from the ID3 tag. It is only one line now and it cuts the title off most of the time as there is insufficient space.
