Sony is releasing on September 1st 2009 in LIMITED QUANTITIES.
The new SLIM model is smaller,lighter, and performs all the same duties as the regular PS3 in a smaller package.
It also comes with a standard 120GB HDD.
Sony states that the new slim model is 32% smaller and 36% lighter than the original PlayStation 3, as well as using 34% less power. Not only that, but it runs less noisily than the original system.
It also has a new 3.0 Firmware will also be released with it. Other new features of the PS3 slim include BRAVIA Sync, which allows you to control the PS3 XMB over HDMI through your BRAVIA TV remote, and System Standby to shut off the PS3 when the BRAVIA TV is off.
